Space dying-learn to dye yarn in a way to knit a repeat pattern. Great for one of a kind socks, or sweaters without multiple balls of yarn.

Monica's Quilt of Many Colors Basket- use dyed reed to make a beautiful design in a 24" x 12" x 20" basket including the handle.

Divided basket- uses a wooden bottom and wooden dividers to make a great basket to store knitting supplies or to use on a kitchen table

Linoleum Block Printing on Silk
We will dye a silk scarf using 1 or 2 dye colors…..then while it dries we will work on the design block. Using a simple design, participants will first transfer the design to the block and then carve the linoleum. Then we will print the design onto the silk scarf.
I will supply the silk, dyes, blocks and simple carving tools.
Participants will need to bring a simple design, covering about 2x3.
Cost: $30.00, half day
Class size: at least 5 up to 12
Once learned, this technique can be used on any textile, even handwoven!
I will demonstrate combing to harvest angora bunny wool. Then we will card both by hand and drum carder. I will teach you to spin pure angora and some of my blends and some of yours!
I will supply fiber, bunny and drum carder
Participants will bring a good, working spinning wheel, hand cards or combs if they have them.
Cost:$30.00, half day
Class size: 5 to 20
We will make a needle and hand felted tapestry using my or your own design, about 8x10 or so.
I will supply wools, fibers and felting needles and foam work surface.
Participants should have a design or photograph for their tapestry.
